Postpartum Care

Providing every mother the support and care they deserve.

What is Postpartum Care?

A postpartum doula plays an integral role in taking care of the mother and family members of the newborn baby. During the first three months following the birth, also known as the fourth trimester, I provide non-medical support and companionship in the home, assisting families with newborn care, sibling adjustment, meal preparation, and household organization.

I extend my expertise on newborn feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, and other critical postpartum encounters. Additionally, my trusted network of health and wellness professionals connects you directly with the necessary resources to elevate and support your postpartum experience.

My Philosophy

As a postpartum care provider, I am committed to helping you create a foundation of health for your growing family. My focus is on providing new mothers the intentional care they deserve, leading with compassion and empathy at every step.

My approach to postpartum care incorporates the ancient teachings of Ayurveda and yoga to  provide mothers the healing, comfort, and nourishment they need during this raw and vulnerable time. This involves transforming the postpartum home into a sanctuary for the mother and the rest of the family. Together, we will work on honoring all the necessary components of postpartum wellness: creating a sacred space, an extended period of deep rest, welcoming warmth in all its forms, accepting true support, prioritizing healing, creating community, and establishing rituals of self care.

The fourth trimester, specifically the first 42 days, is about rebuilding, restoring, and celebrating the mother after childbirth as she welcomes in new life. Now is the time to honor the immense journey you took to get here and receive the support  you deserve.

“Women are the heart, the foundation of the people. Supporting mothers supports healthy and empowered families, which supports thriving communities, which supports all of humanity.”

Nourish and Heal Your Body

Postpartum Vision Call

Are you prepared for your fourth trimester? As one of the most critical periods of the childbirth journey, it’s important to plan ahead and ensure you have a trusted support system to best serve you and your family. I can provide the insight, professional guidance, and assistance to help you prepare for a peaceful and empowered postpartum journey.

This is for you if you are not yet ready to hire a postpartum doula but want to arrange for a restful, nourishing, and healing postpartum experience. Together, we will walk through the details of what you can expect in the days following childbirth. You will also receive an in-depth planning guide that outlines helpful resources and tips on how to begin your postpartum journey with confidence and ease.

Postpartum Meal Delivery

I lead with the belief that food is medicine and place a large emphasis on nutrition as a critical component to a mother’s overall postpartum wellness. Nourishing the body with the right foods promotes physical and emotional healing and supports grounding the nervous system.

Ayurveda teaches that warm, properly spiced, and easily digestible foods are favorable postpartum and gives the body what it needs to heal and recover. Together, we will discuss your dietary preferences and restrictions and craft a meal plan that aligns with your unique needs and supports your recovery.

All meals use fresh, organic, high-quality ingredients that are locally sourced, stored in glass containers, and designed for sharing, serving two to three people.

Meal Train Assistance

Through your meal train account, I will provide you with recipes that you can share with your support system to ensure your greatest healing. Meal trains are a wonderful way for family and friends to contribute their love and support once your baby arrives. If they are not familiar with the elements of postpartum healing through food, together, we can create a meal train plan that will help your support system get a better idea of the foods you need during this time.
